Creating and sending your first invoice

Learn how to create branded invoices, add line items, and send them to your customers directly from Obsidyun.

Creating an invoice

Navigate to the Invoicing module and click "Create Invoice." Select a customer from your customer list (or create a new one), then add line items with descriptions, quantities, and prices. Taxes, discounts, and payment terms can all be configured per invoice.

Customizing your branding

Obsidyun invoices use customizable templates that include your logo, colors, and layout. You can use the drag-and-drop editor to add, remove, and rearrange fields. Every invoice you send looks like it came from an established firm.

Sending and tracking

Send invoices directly from Obsidyun with a personalized message and embedded payment links so customers can pay online. All email activity is logged against the customer record so you can see when an invoice was sent, opened, and paid.

Automated reminders

Set up automated payment reminders at intervals you choose. When a payment is overdue, the system sends a follow-up email automatically. This eliminates the need to manually chase payments and helps you get paid faster.

Quotes and conversions

You can also create quotes using the same templates. When a customer accepts a quote, convert it to an invoice with one click and all the details carry over. For recurring clients, set up recurring invoices that go out automatically on the dates you choose.

Credit management and statements

Obsidyun lets you set credit limits per customer. Available credit updates in real time as invoices are issued and payments come in. You can also generate customer statements summarizing invoices, payments, and balances for any period.
